Chapell & Associates was founded by partner, Greg Chapell in 1995 in a small office in Subiaco, expanding to now be a team of 11 professionals and administrative staff, located in Victoria Park, WA.
We are a team of professionals at the highest level, here to assist you with all your taxation and accounting requirements. We value the fact that we not only love our job, but we love assisting and helping all our clients. We pride ourselves on our high standard of advice and service to all clients and knowing that we want to offer a complete service to all our clients.

Greg is the founder and principal of Chapell & Associates, which has now been operating for over 23 years.
With over 30 years’ experience in professional practice and senior corporate roles, Greg has a wealth of knowledge and experience to offer his clients. His hands-on approach and dedication and commitment to obtaining the best possible outcome to suit a client’s situation, helps our clients achieve their tax and financial goals.
Greg welcomes the opportunity to help you with your tax, business and financial needs. He offers advice and assistance to everyone from the individual tax payer to big businesses / corporations. This can include clients wishing to set up and structure a new business venture, the restructuring of existing business, assistance with issues that may arise in a business during its lifetime and succession planning when the time has come to move on. Greg can also provide taxation and compliance advice for your superannuation needs.
Greg holds a Bachelor of Business, has a Post Graduate Diploma in Business, is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand, is a Registered Tax Agent, a Registered Auditor and a Registered SMSF auditor.
Greg is married and a father of two boys, who keep him very busy. In addition, Greg has been a board member for the WA Foundation for Deaf Children for the last 17 years.
Tonia joined Chapell & Associates in 2005, after working for 7 years in Insolvency and Restructuring at both a corporate and individual level.
Tonia has now worked at Chapell & Associates for over 13 years and has over 20 years’ experience in professional practice. As a Senior Manager, Tonia has knowledge and experience in providing business and tax advice, tax planning and the preparation of tax returns for a varied client base including individuals, trusts, companies and self-managed superannuation funds.
Tonia enjoys providing taxation and business consultancy services to her clients and working with them to achieve their financial and tax goals.
Tonia holds a Bachelor of Business, is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, is a Registered Tax Agent and a Registered SMSF Auditor.
Tonia’s interests include keeping fit, yoga, meditation and travelling.
Tony joined Chapell & Associates in 1998 as an undergraduate accountant and has now been working at the firm for over 20 years and is our longest serving employee.
Over the last 20 years Tony has developed strong, friendly relationships with his clients, who he is dedicated to achieving the best possible outcomes for.
With over 20 years’ experience, Tony is an experienced manager with a wealth of knowledge in dealing with clients’ tax and business issues. Tony offers his taxation advice and business services to everyone from individuals to corporations including the preparation of tax returns for a varied client base including individuals, trusts, companies and self-managed superannuation funds.
Tony holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Graduate Diploma of Accounting, is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA), a Registered Tax Agent and Registered SMSF auditor.
Outside of work, Tony is a passionate sports fan and loves the Napoli soccer team.
Kelly joined Chapell & Associates in 2008, after working for 3 years at another taxation and business services accounting firm and 3 years at a firm which specialised in Insolvency and Restructuring.
Kelly has now worked for Chapell & Associates for over 10 years and has over 16 years’ experience in Professional Practice. As a Manager, Kelly has gained invaluable insight into a wide range of accounting and taxation issues, business advice and the preparation of tax returns for a varied client base including individuals, trusts, companies and self-managed superannuation funds.
Kelly prides herself on developing strong relationships with her clients and has worked with many of her clients for over 8 years. Kelly stands by an open-door communication policy, which applies to both our staff and clients. Kelly is known for her commitment to providing a high standard of advice and service to her clients.
Kelly holds a Bachelor of Commerce, is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ), is a Registered Tax Agent and Registered SMSF auditor.
Kelly is a proud mother of one and loves the balance of working and being a mum.
Kacey joined Chapell & Associates in 2013, after working for 10 years at another taxation and business services accounting firm.
Kacey has now worked for Chapell & Associates for 5 years and has over 15 years’ experience in providing accounting, taxation and business service advise to her clients. As a Manager, Kacey has extensive experience in proving tax and business advice to her clients and in the preparation of tax returns for a varied client base including individuals, trusts, companies and self-managed superannuation funds.
Kacey strives to achieve good relationships with her clients and provide full client services. She enjoys assisting clients to minimise their tax and maximise their financial position.
Kacey holds a Bachelor of Commerce, is a member of the Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA) and a Registered SMSF auditor.
Kacey has a young family and enjoys the balance of working part time as an accountant and having time for her family.
Sherryl first worked at Chapell & Associates from 2013 to 2014, as an undergraduate, before leaving us to join Ernst & Young and work in their Audit and Assurance Division. Sherryl returned to the firm in 2016.
Having now worked in Professional Practice for 5 years, as a Senior Accountant, Sherryl has experience in providing accounting, taxation and business services to her clients. Sherryl enjoys working closely with clients to develop a close working relationship that helps her understand and meet their needs.
Sherryl’s client base includes individual wage earners, small to medium sized businesses and self-managed superannuation fund.
Sherryl holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ).
Sherryl is recently married and returned back to the office from maternity leave in June 2020, after having her first son.
Aoife joined Chapell & Associates in 2010, as our receptionist and client liaison person. Prior to joining our team Aoife was studying and travelled the world for several years.
Since joining our firm she has undertaken further studies and now assists our accounting team to process tax returns, maintain the books for superannuation funds and provides book keeping services to our clients.
In her free time, Aoife enjoys spending time with her young family and husband.
Michelle joined Chapell & Associates in 1998, as the Office Administrator and Bookkeeper. Prior to joining our firm Michelle worked as a Medical Receptionist for a General Practice.
As our second longest serving employee, Michelle is in charge of Office Administration, Client liaison and assists our book keeping staff to provide services to our clients.
Outside of work, Michelle enjoys babysitting and spending time with her granddaughter and family.
Ingrid joined Chapell & Associates in 2008, as an experienced book keeper.
Ingrid has over 23 years’ experience in book keeping and enjoys working with clients to maintain their books and records, assist with the processing of their payroll and meeting their statutory obligations, which includes lodgement of BAS and superannuation requirements.
Rebecca joined Chapell & Associates in 2014, as our receptionist. Prior to joining our firm, Rebecca worked as a manger of a retail store.
As our receptionist Rebecca is the first face you see when you walk into the firm and the first voice you hear when you call. In addition to her role as a receptionist Rebecca, maintains our ASIC files, ATO records, data files and provides book keeping for the WA Foundation for Deaf Children.
Outside of work, Rebecca likes to keep fit and spend time with her family.
